The basics
What is Pellicule?
Pellicule is a personal photography app built around a simple constraint: one photo per day. Each day, you capture one moment. Over time, those moments build your personal film roll — a quiet, intimate archive of your daily life.
Is Pellicule free?
Yes, Pellicule is free to use.
Do I need an account to browse?
You can browse the public daily feed and visit public profiles without an account. Uploading photos and managing your rolls requires signing in.
Photos & rolls
How many photos can I upload per day?
One. That's the whole point — one photo per day, no more. The limit resets at midnight UTC.
What's the difference between a daily roll and a gallery roll?
Your daily roll is your main film roll — one photo per day, automatically. It's created when you sign up and cannot be deleted. Your gallery rolls are collections you create yourself, with no daily restriction. You can upload up to 24 photos per gallery roll, and create up to 5 gallery rolls in total.
What file format is supported?
JPEG only, up to 5 MB per photo.
Can I delete a photo?
Yes. You can delete any photo from your dashboard. Deleted photos are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
Can I edit a photo after uploading?
You can edit the title, description, and category of a photo. The image itself cannot be replaced — you would need to delete and re-upload.
Privacy & sharing
Are my photos public?
Photos in your daily roll are public by default and appear in the community daily feed. Gallery rolls can be set to private — only you can see them, unless you share the private link.
Can I share a private roll?
Yes. Each roll has a private share link that you can send to anyone. The recipient can view the roll without an account, but cannot edit or interact with it.
Who owns my photos?
You do. You retain full ownership of every photo you upload. Pellicule only uses your photos to display them on the platform. See our Terms of Service for the full details.
Account
How do I sign in?
Pellicule uses passwordless sign-in. Enter your email address and we'll send you a magic link. You can also sign in with Google.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Account and click "Delete account". This permanently deletes your account and all associated photos. The action cannot be undone.
